Keeping the Love You Find
October 4, 2020 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm PDT
An event every day that begins at 5:00 pm, repeating until October 4, 2020
Do you ever wonder why you are drawn to certain people or why your relationships are not satisfying? Are you interested in changing that pattern? Would you like to learn the tools and techniques that lead to a fulfilling, successful relationship?
Knowing yourself will open the door to finding, and being with, the right person. In one weekend, you will gain a solid foundation in Imago Relationship Theory. We will explore the typical evolution of love relationships and what compels us to keep searching.
You will learn how romantic love opens you to frustrations which can be disappointing or scary but are also necessary and unavoidable in any conscious relationship.
These intensive workshops for individuals (whether or not you are in a relationship) and couples, are based on the ground-breaking work of co-founders Harville Hendrix, PhD, and his wife, Helen LeKelly Hunt, who co-authored Getting the Love You Want and Keeping the Love You Find.
In this workshop you will experience:
- Self discovery by identifying your character needs and the ways you protect yourself when you are scared. This will help you understand your attraction and some of the chronic frustrations you’ve experienced in your relationships.
- An understanding of the unconscious influences from your childhood. You will also gain more insight into who and how you attract your partners and discover the connection between your childhood and your adult love relationships.
- A healing of past relationship hurts. Despite the circumstances surrounding the ending of some of our past relationships, we often carry both positive and hurtful memories into our next relationship. Together we will heal some of those wounds so that you can move forward with a more positive frame of mind.
- Personal growth and change. You will leave this workshop with new skills and a personal plan for your relational future.
Past workshop participants have said they felt safe and relaxed while doing this deep work. In two days of guided exercises and experiences we will build some community, have some fun, do some deep work, and celebrate our growth.
